Susan “Mohini” Kane is an ASCAP Artist and a voting member of The Recording Academy. Her songs are available for Sync Licensing. She is a member of TAXI, NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) and SONA (Songwriters of North America). She has three albums released, two of which are classical. Mohini co-wrote the song “Home” for the Altadena episode of Band of Strangers. Her new single, “Ready for the Wonderful,” rises from the ashes of the Eaton Fire like a phoenix to be released in July.
Mohini has been writing songs since age seven, first guided by her grandmother, and she’s been hooked ever since. Her debut album Waking Up in Wonderland launched a release tour from Los Angeles to New York and back, sharing her genre-blending sound shaped by classical training and years of singing foreign-language art songs. Inspired by Carole King, Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, and Florence and the Machine, her music has been praised for its emotional clarity and “luminous, expressive voice.”

Mohini’s Songwriting Service
I write songs for specific events and occasions, tv, and film.
I was hired by the YouTube TV Series Directors for Band of Strangers, to co-write and perform a new song for their series. Our episode will air in 2026.
My song: “Braver Stronger” is an anthem for women who have suffered sexual abuse and events surrounding fundraising for such groups as RAINN.
My new song: “Ready for the Wonderful” was written and performed for several one-year anniversary events for the Eaton Fire in Altadena, CA. It will be released commercially in July, 2026.
I have a unique “Happy Birthday” song (unpublished) and can write one an original one for you or your loved one.
My new protest song: “Starlight Falls” is written for the No Kings protests of 2026.
I’m currently writing my next all original album that will come out in 2026. Stay tuned!
